I love Appaloosas because they are gentle, willing, and a good horse for those who are first-time horse owners. The breed comes in all colors. They have very unique patterns and no two Appaloosas are quite the same. They come in snowflake (dark color light spots), leopard (light color dark spots), blanket (is a solid color with spots on its hindquarters).

My love of Appaloosas started when I started riding Blue; he is a leopard patterned Appaloosa, about 15.2 hands. He is the sweetest horse ever! Then I started to like Frankie who is a blanket pattern Appaloosa and gives me a look whenever I walk by him: he pricks his ears forward and just watches me and I can’t help it, I just have to give him a hug. Then last but not least there is Opie. He is a snowflake pattern Appaloosa and he is so funny! Sometimes when he is taking a nap in his stall I can hear him snoring.

You can tell when it is an Appaloosa because of its spotted coat, striped hooves, speckled skin, the white around its eyes, and the gentle personality.
